I am the founder and owner of Sweet Letters Calligraphy. I am a first generation

Filipina American born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. Growing up in a strict

Asian household, I was told to stray away from the arts and to focus on my education

and career. That is when I turned to calligraphy. It was my outlet, my escape from all

other stresses and a way for me to express myself. Self-taught, nothing but me, my 

brush pen and youtube.

In July 2020, Sweet Letters was born. I had no intention of it becoming a business, 

but rather a place Instagram for me to share my work. At the time, I had a 

full-time job, was a full-time Graduate student pursuing my Masters, and growing

this happy little biz. As I got more and more inquiries, I knew that Sweet Letters was something special. I have never felt so happy and so alive. To have something that I built, for no one else, but me. To have opportunities where I meet and interact with creatives across all industries is priceless.

I love connecting with people. I love getting to know your story.I love bringing and idea to life for individuals, couples, business owners, anyone who enjoys my work, I want to reciprocate that feeling. Every person that has trusted me with their vision, I want them to know that is what I thrive for.
